Jupiter support the Sound Start Program in the UK
In September 2001 Jupiter's UK agent, Korg, in conjunction with Croydon Music Services, launched a unique musical pilot in schools. The SOUND START PROGRAM aims to show how every child in the UK could learn a musical instrument.
There are over 1000 students in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland taking part, with many more schools showing interest. The SOUND START PROGRAM has been added to the music curriculum in the UK schools and has received high media exposure.
According to teachers' responses, this class-based instrumental instruction has had a positive impact on pupil behavior. Other benefits include putting the ensemble experience at the heart of learning music, teaching to a variety of learning styles, and motivating pupils through peer support and performance.
What do the students think? Take a look at the inspiring letter below from Matthew which makes all the hard work more than worth it.
