Professional By Design - jupiter Adds Five New Models to
XO Brass Line-up

April 1st, 2009 – JUPITER has released five new brass models to expand its XO line of professional instruments. Created with attention to performance, quality and exceptional sound, the new C trumpet, Bb/A Piccolo trumpet, Bb flugelhorn,
Bb Tenor trombone with Lightweight Slide and Bass Trombone give professional musicians a competitive selection for varying performance needs.

The JTR-1624 C series trumpet complements the XO’s existing Bb trumpets.  Featuring a .462” bore and a 4.8” hand-hammered bell with standard taper and a squared bell bow (# 5 bell) that is designed for JUPITER XO C trumpet only to have concentrated timbre, the JTR-1624 is available with standard and reversed
mouthpipes which have extra outer tubes that helps locate the bell brace in order to create better resonance. The JTR-1624 trumpet also comes with either elliptical or rounded tuning slides to let players truly customize their horn to their preferences.

Also introduced is the JTR-1700 Bb/A piccolo trumpet.  Featuring a .450” bore with a 4” hand-hammered bell, the 1700 has interchangeable Bb & A key mouthpipes and two-piece valve casing with four pistons which provide players with comfortable and quick fingering, especially when playing lower registers.
The JTR-1700 comes with a Deluxe wooden case for 2 trumpets
and an extra soft case for piccolo trumpets.

   
 
The JFH-1646 Bb Flugelhorn features a .413” bore and nickel silver tunable mouthpipe providing a more focused and solid timbre.  The JFH-1646 has a 6”
hand-hammered bell and a professional two piece valve casing. It also features a custom 3rd valve trigger key with mini-ball linkage and wood stem lever. With a redesigned bore size and special production processing on the leadpipe, the
JFH-1646 offers the more extensive timbre that most players favor.
 

The JSL-1028/1032-LT Bb tenor trombone features .495”~.507” dual bore (1028-LT), .500” medium bore (1032-LT) and 7.5” hand hammered bell. It has a 24K gold-plated XO logo engraving balancer and a light-weight hand slide offering players better control of instrument performance, especially when playing in quick tempo. Additionally, the material of the outer slides changes to nickel silver, providing better durability and protection.

Featuring a .562” bore and 9.5” brass bell, the JSL-1240-T Bb/F/Gb/D bass trombone has detachable independent double Thayer rotors with an open wrap loop reducing air resistance and creating more powerful timbre. The JSL-1240-T also features a wooden adjustable rotor lever and comes with 3 interchangeable mouthpipes, providing various tone colors to satisfy players’ demands.
